Message from Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board -
We are working with the UK Government to enable Welsh citizens to access the NHS App for vaccine certificates but this service is not yet available.
In the meantime, for people in Wales who have had two doses of the vaccine and need to urgently travel to a country which requires covid vaccination:
From 24 May, there will be a temporary emergency telephone number to request a COVID-19 vaccination certificate for international travel.
This should only be used if you urgently need to travel to a country which requires vaccine certification and you are not able to either quarantine or provide tests to meet country entry requirements. Do not use this service for non-urgent requests.
Individuals should check entry requirements before travelling.
For those who have not yet completed their vaccine course and for countries that don’t accept vaccine proof at this time, people should continue to follow existing entry requirements like negative PCR tests.
Even if you’ve been vaccinated, you still have to follow the same requirements as non-vaccinated people when you return to the UK.
Do not request a vaccination certificate from your GP or vaccination centre.
NHS Wales is working hard to ensure everyone can have access to a vaccination we cannot divert resources away from this very important task.
