PRESCRIPTIONS

Everything you need to know about ordering, collecting and managing your prescriptions.

Under no circumstances will Reception take prescription requests over the phone.

Choose How to Order Your Medication

To request your repeat medication, choose the option that works best for you. Whether you order through your pharmacy, the NHS App or another approved method, we've made it simple and convenient to manage your prescriptions.

Email

Email our Prescription Team to request your repeat medication quickly and securely.

Repeat Slip

Visit reception and a member of our team will print your repeat prescription slip for you. Simply tick the medications you need, and we’ll pass your request to the Prescription Team for processing. To save time, you can also return your completed slip using the letter box outside each surgery.

Your Pharmacy

Let your nominated pharmacy manage your repeat medication requests, taking the pressure off yourself. Once set up, your pharmacy will automatically request your medication each month, helping to create a simple and seamless process.

eConsult

Submit an eConsult medication query or request online, and our team will review and process it accordingly.

NHS WALES APP

Register for the NHS App using the button below to request and manage your repeat medication online. You can review your orders, track requests, and receive messages from the practice if we have any queries about your medication.

FAQ'S

How long will my request take?

Please allow up to 72 hours for your prescription to be processed and sent to your nominated pharmacy.

My pharmacy hasn't received my prescription – what should I do?

If your pharmacy cannot find your prescription, please ask them to check again, as it may already have been received. If it is still unavailable, it may be because the medication was not requested, your request was declined, or it is still being processed. Your pharmacy will usually be able to advise you on the next steps.

Why was my prescription request denied?

There are several reasons why your prescription request may be declined. For example, you may need a medication review or blood test, the request may have been made too early, or the medication may no longer be on your repeat prescription. If you are unsure why your request was declined, please contact your nominated pharmacy for further advice.

When should I re-order my repeat prescription?

We recommend reordering your medication when you have around 7 days' supply remaining. If you'd prefer not to remember, you can ask your nominated pharmacy to manage and request your repeat prescriptions on your behalf.
