Keep Testing!

As winter approaches and we start to see more coughs and colds, we wanted to take a moment to remind people that Coronavirus remains in circulation and that it is important to think about getting tested in order to stop it spreading and to protect each other.

The guidelines remain that anyone with a new cough, fever, or loss of taste or smell should get tested and self-isolate until the result is available. The test should be a PCR swab which you can arrange by calling 119 or visiting https://www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test

A lateral flow test (LFT), which are the tests you do at home and get a result in 30 minutes, are not accurate enough to diagnose Covid if you have got symptoms. The point of these tests is to give you extra peace of mind if you do not have any symptoms.

So please remember; any symptom should be tested with a PCR swab.
